$50,000 AFL Major Prize & $50,000 NRL Major Prize: 2026 FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION RULES

Terms & Conditions of entry (QLD, NT, NSW, VIC, TAS, SA & WA)

Authorised under NSW Authority No. GOCLP/1049 and TP/03817.

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry.

The Promoter: The Promoter is ALH Group Pty Ltd, Level 1/459 Church Street Richmond Vic 3121, ABN 68 098 212 134 owner / operator of participating venues: Full list of participating venues will be listed in these Terms and Conditions under Schedule 2 (each venue a “Participating Venue”).

Duration of Competition: The Competition period commences 09:00 AM Thursday 15/01/2026 and ends

  • 11:59 PM Sunday 29/08/26 for AFL; and

  • 11:59 PM Sunday 06/09/2026 for NRL,

excluding finals for both competitions: (the “Competition Period”).

NRL Tipping submissions are for the Regular Season commencing Round 1, Sunday 1/03/2026 and ending Round 27, Sunday 06/09/2026.

AFL Tipping submissions are for the Regular Season commencing the “Opening Round” Thursday 05/03/2026 and ending Round 24 Sunday 29/08/2026 pending the AFL official fixture release.

Eligibility for Entry for AFL $50,000 Major Prize & NRL $50,000 Major Prize:

Entry may only be made in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

The Competition is open to Australian residents (excluding ACT) aged 18 years and over excluding those who are an employee, or have been employed in the last six (6) months by the Promoter or any Participating Venue, including immediate families such as spouse, parents, sibling or child of any current or past employee (“Eligible Participant”).


Entry is valid if an Eligible Participant has registered to a Participating Venue online via the pub+ App with contact information and paid the entry fee at the venue by Round 3 of the relevant AFL/NRL season, OR, if an Eligible Participant has registered to a free entry ($0 entry fee) via the pub+ App.

Playing a gaming machine or participating in a loyalty scheme that requires either expenditure on gaming machines or agreement to receive gaming machine advertising, does not enable you to enter or participate in this Competition.

Terms and Conditions Free Entry Competition


Entry Mechanism: To enter, weekly tips must be submitted via the pub+ App.

To be eligible to win the AFL Major prize, registration must be to a Participating Venue in the 2026 AFL tipping Competition.

To be eligible to win the NRL Major prize, registration must be to a Participating Venue in the 2026 NRL tipping Competition.

Major Prizes

1st Place AFL Major Prize - Overall Winner: $50,000 is awarded at the end of Round 24 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season, to the Eligible Participant with the highest overall score (with the lowest margin used as a tie-breaker) in the $50k Major Prize AFL competition on the pub+ App across all participants in state based competitions and Participating Venue competitions across Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania during the Competition Period. If more than one person wins 1st place, then the $50,000 will be divided evenly across all 1st place eligible participants. No other prizes are available, no prize substitutions allowed.


1st Place NRL Major Prize - Overall Winner:  $50,000 is awarded at the end of Round 27 of the 2026 NRL Premiership Season to the Eligible Participant with the highest overall score (with the lowest margin used as a tie-breaker) in the $50k Major Prize NRL competition on the pub+ App across all participants in state based competitions and Participating Venue competitions across Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania during the Competition Period. If more than one person wins 1st place, then the $50,000 will be divided evenly across all 1st place eligible participants. No other prizes are available, no prize substitutions allowed. 


The winner’s name will be listed on the pub+ website on pubplus.com.au/footy-tipping. Users will be able to see the winners nickname, or first name and first initial of their last name on the pub+ ladder on the pub+ App.

Total Prize Pool: Total maximum value of the 1st Place Major Prize Pool is $50,000 for each AFL and NRL tipping Competition, $100,000 in total. The Prize is not exchangeable or transferable.

Verification of Results: at the conclusion of the AFL & NRL final round of the regular season, there will be a period of 5 business days where the results will be deemed interim, that is the results of the participants will not be judged as verified, thus no prizes will be awarded based on the interim results. The Major Prize Ladder will be deemed “interim” during this time.

Finalisation of Results: within 7 business days of the conclusion of the AFL/NRL final round of the regular season, the results will be deemed final, that is the results of the participants have been judged as verified. The Major Prize Ladder will be deemed “Final” when the results have been verified and prizes will be awarded based on these results.

By registering for the AFL/NRL Tipping, participants agree to be opted in to receive notifications from pub+ and will receive a communication confirming that the results have been finalised. The Major Prize Winners will be contacted by a representative of the Promoter to verify entry and coordinate the prize payment.

Substitution of prize: The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or change the prizes offered under the Promotion, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, or if there are any changes to the law that would or might render the Competition or any prizes offered under the Competition unlawful. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or any part of it) for a similar prize (or part of the prize) of equal or greater value should the stated prize not be available at the time of prize distribution.

Valid Entries AFL/NRL Online Tipping: Weekly tips must be submitted via the pub+ App by the registered participant of the In-House Tipping Competition for that code, to be considered a valid submission for that round. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their selections are submitted correctly prior to the game start time. If participants fail to submit the tips prior to the commencement of the scheduled game start time, then the registered tipping participant will receive the “away team” with an automatic margin prediction of 0 for all games where tipping selections were not submitted. We take no responsibility for selection errors. The last registered selection prior to the game start time will be recorded and submitted as final, no changes can be made after this time. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions will be deemed invalid. In the event of a dispute concerning the conduct of the Competition, the decision of the Promoter is final. 

Terms and Conditions Participating Venue In-House Competition

For additional information specific to the Participating Venue, please refer to the full Terms and Conditions available at the Participating Venue.

Participating Venue: In-House Prizes

  • Participating Venue will determine the footy tipping code for the Competition and entry cost (per person).

  • 100% of all entry fees paid will go towards the Competition Total Prize Pool.

  • The Participating Venue may elect to contribute a sum of money to the Competition Total Prize Pool, this will be available on the pub+ App. Contributions can be made by venues up until Round 1 for that code.

  • The final In-House Total Prize Pool will be determined by the end of Round 3, where the venue starting prize pool (if any) will be added to the total of all paid entry fees for that Competition.

Participating Venue In-House Competition Prize Pool Allocation: Overall Points Winner for the Season (excluding Finals)

  • 1st Place 60% Prize Pool of allocated pool division

  • 2nd Place 30% Prize pool of allocated pool division

  • 3rd Place 10% Prize pool of allocated pool division

Participating Venue In-House Competition Prize Pool Distribution: Overall Points Winner for the Season (excluding Finals)

  • If 2 people win 1st place, 1st & 2nd prize will be combined & divided evenly.

  • If 3 or more people win 1st place, 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be combined and divided evenly.

  • If 2 or more people win 1st place, and 2 or more people win 2nd place, 1st & 2nd prize will be combined & divided evenly amongst 1st place and 3rd prize division will be divided evenly amongst 2nd place, there is no prize dividend paid for 3rd place.

  • If 2 people win 2nd place, 2nd & 3rd will be combined and divided evenly.

  • If 2 or more people come 3rd the 3rd division will be divided evenly

  • If any of the above occurs, this will knock that division down to the next prize pool.

  • If the “Boss” account wins 1st/2nd/3rd Place, they will be excluded and prize payments are to occur as outlined above.

Venue In-House Competition Weekly Activation Summary

Only available to AFL / NRL Tipping Paid Entry Competitions, it does not apply to Free entry Venue/State competitions.

Each state excluding QLD & NT has a specific sponsored beer product for the prizes, strictly no substitutions for beer brands upon redemption. The weekly drink prize product sponsor is subject to change throughout the season. Participants will be notified at the time they receive a reward if opted in to receive communications, prizes will be displayed in their pub+ wallet until they expire. For redemption, prizes will automatically be applied to a transaction in the venue if the qualifying purchase is made and the pub+ member card is scanned.

Please refer to the state weekly prize table under Schedule 1 in these Terms and Conditions for available Tipping prizes. Weekly activations are available across all venues unless specified:

AFL/NRL Weekly Offer Group: Prize with Tips Submission

  • Each tipster will receive one (1) prize on the successful completion and submission of that round's tips prior to each game starting, the prize will be available for redemption upon the rounds completion. If tips are not submitted, the default away team is nominated on the Participants behalf, and the Participant is ineligible for the prize. Excludes all venues in WA.

AFL Weekly Winner Offer Group: Tip Every Game Correctly - Tip the Perfect Round

  • Tip the winner of every game in that round of footy and be deemed a Perfect Round Winner for that round played in a single week. Participants deemed as a Perfect Round Winner will receive one (1) prize as determined by the Participating Venue

  • AFL Perfect Round Prizes will not be awarded during Split Rounds where the AFL round is completed over more than 1 week.

NRL Weekly Winner Offer Group: Tip Every Game Correctly - Tip the Perfect Round

  • Tip the winner of every game in that round of footy and be deemed a Perfect Round Winner for that round played in a single week. Participants deemed as a Perfect Round Winner will receive one (1) prize as determined by the Participating Venue

  • NRL Perfect Round Prizes will not be awarded during Split Rounds where the NRL round is completed over more than 1 week.

AFL/NRL Weekly Winner Offer Group: Beat the Boss:

  • The nominated Participating Venue “Boss” the participants will be tipping against will be determined by the Participating Venue.

  • The Venue Boss will tip weekly online under the Participating Venue manager tipping account named “Boss.”

  • Participant/s who receive a higher tipping score for that round against the nominated “Boss” will be deemed a winner.

  • No prizes will be awarded to participants who receive an equal score to the boss.

  • Participants deemed as the ‘Beat the Boss Winner/s’ for that round will receive one (1) prize

Winning/Eligible Customer Activation /Prize Redemption Process

  • Limit of 1 redemption per customer, per offer group, per person, per round, per code, per day.

  • Participants registered to the Participating Venue Competition must attend the Participating Venue to redeem the voucher/prize.

  • Tipping Participants who have registered and opted in to receive pub+ marketing communications will be sent a results confirmation email which states they are deemed a winner and/or eligible for a prize/redemption.

  • Participants can view their prizes in their pub+ wallet, where valid prizes will be available for 7 days.

  • Prize will display in pub+ wallet, once used the prize will no longer display in the pub+ wallet, if expired, the prize will not display in the pub+ wallet.

  • The prize may be redeemed once only to whom it is awarded and is only valid up until the expiry date marked on the prize in the pub+ wallet. It is the responsibility of the recipient to present the valid barcode to staff when claiming their redemption.

  • The voucher/redemption is not transferable to other participants and cannot be replaced or resent if lost or misplaced.

  • The voucher/redemption will be forfeited if the customer does not collect by the expiry date marked on the prize.

AFL/NRL Footy Tipping Competition Rules (In-House Competition & Major Prize Competition)

  • Participants are required to be a minimum 18 years of age to be eligible to participate in the tipping Competition.

  • Participants can only enter once into a Participating In-House Footy Tipping Competition for that code (AFLor NRL) and can register at maximum of 2 Participating Venues in total. Any multiple entries which exceed the limits stated above will be cancelled, or prize money forfeited. Any attempt to unfairly or fraudulently manipulate the Competition by any means, including multiple different email addresses, using other people’s details, automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means will have their entry cancelled. Photo ID is required to claim Participating Venue cash prizes, which needs to match the registration details of the winning participant.

  • Participants in the footy tipping Competition agree to provide their first name, surname, date of birth, mobile, email, state of residence, AFL/NRL team supported and nickname (optional) for the purpose of registering a pub+ account to award prizes.

  • The Competition will be administered through the pub+ App, which will facilitate tip submissions, competition prizes and weekly results. Participants will receive marketing communications from pub+ if opted in, in relation to the competition in accordance with the Privacy Policy at alhgroup.com.au/privacy.

  • AFL/NRL Competition Scoring:

    • Win = 1 Point,

    • Loss = 0 Points.

    • Drawn games = 1 point,

    • Cancelled/Abandoned Games= 0 Points.

    • No penalty will be incurred.

  • Tips not filled in, will receive the away teams and associated points for the round. No other penalty applies. Participants who don’t complete their tips for that week will be ineligible for the Weekly Redemption offer group.

  • No bonus points will be awarded & there will be no bonus point rounds during the tipping Competition.

  • At the end of each game the pub+ App  will calculate the scores and provide an update to the results ladder within 1 hour of the conclusion of that game.

  • The weekly round tip results will update as AFL and NRL games finish, and scores are recorded on the day of the last game for the round. The In-House and Major Prize competition ladders will be updated on the pub+ App within 1 hour of the conclusion of the final game of the round.

  • Participants that are eligible for a Perfect Round or Beat the Boss Prize will receive push notification, if opted in to receive notifications by 9pm AEST, on the day of the last game for that round.

  • Results and scores are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • Tipping fixtures are current as per AFL/ NRL official websites as of 1/12/2025, any changes to season schedule is not the responsibility of the Participating Venue.

  • In the case of the last 10 rounds of the AFL competition or a season schedule change, the pub+ App will be updated to reflect the change.

  • The ‘Boss’ tipping account does not incur an entry fee, is not eligible to win Participating Venue In-House prize pools, or redeem any rewards.

  • Venue staff participating in the Competition will not incur an entry fee, are not eligible to win Participating Venue In-House prize pools, the national major prize per code or weekly prize redemptions.

  • For the sake of clarity, staff of Participating Venues may participate in the Competition but are not eligible to win any prizes in the Competition.

  • The decision of the tipping captain (i.e. administrator of the Competition in venue, as selected by the venue manager) is final for any Participating Venue Competition disputes or disagreements must be made through this individual only. Staff of the venue are not liable and have no input to rules and regulations.

  • The decision of the footy tipping administrator representative from ALH Group is final for any Participating In-House Competition or $50,000 Major Prize AFL/NRL disputes or disagreements. All disputes must be made through this individual via the enquiry form available on the pub+ website for a decision to be made in line with competition rules and these Terms and Conditions.

Terms and Conditions for Private Leagues

  • Eligible Participants have the option to create or join a participant-managed “Private League” to compete against other participants. The Participant who creates a league will be deemed the “League Administrator”. 

  • Participants can join a Private League by clicking the link and entering the code provided by the League Administrator. It is the sole responsibility of the League Administrator to distribute entry codes.

  • Private Leagues are provided for entertainment purposes only. Any prizes, entry fees, or wages associated with a Private League are a separate, private arrangement solely between the members of that league. The Promoter is not involved in, nor responsible for, the administration, management, or prize fulfilment of any Private League. 

  • Private League participants will not receive weekly prize offers or be eligible for a venue prize pool or the major AFL and NRL national prize.

  • The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damages arising from a participants involvement in a Private League and will not mediate any disputes between participants of a Private League. The League Administrator is solely responsible for resolving all disputes within their league. By creating or joining a Private League, participants agree to indemnify the Promoter from any claims related to that league's activities or prizes. 

  • A participant's scores and tips are still governed by the rules of the overall Major Prize and Participating Venue competitions. Participation in a Private League is an additional feature and does not alter a participant’s eligibility or standing in the official competitions.

  • The Promoter retains absolute discretion to delete any Private Leagues as it sees necessary.

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of participation/entry and to disqualify any participant/entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any participant who tampers with the Completion process, who submits an tips/entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in participating in the Competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Competition and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited to, participants and households using multiple email addresses, street addresses or PO Box addresses to register single or multiple accounts. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s conduct is of a type described in this clause.

The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

pub+ Tipping Terms and Conditions: Entry and participation in the Competition will be subject to the pubplus.com.au terms and conditions at https://www.pubplus.com.au/footy-tipping-tcs. Please ensure you have read and accept these terms and conditions.

Privacy: By submitting their personal information during registration, participants agree that the Promoter may collect, use and disclose that information in accordance with the Privacy Policy at alhgroup.com.au/privacy.. It is each participant’s responsibility to read the Privacy Policy.

To contact the Promoter in relation to privacy issues or to request access to your personal information, please contact The Privacy Officer at ALH Group, Level 1/459 Church Street Richmond Vic 3121.

The Promoter may use Personal Information collected about each participant for the purpose of: (1) determining and contacting the Prize Winner, (2) marketing the products or services of the Promoter, its Related Bodies Corporate or any existing or prospective Participating Venue and to (3) disclosing that information to any third party service provider who it engages to assist in meeting its commitments or in marketing its products or services. When the Promoter does this, the Promoter takes steps to require its service providers to handle personal information safely, and in a way that meets Australian privacy laws. Participants can read more about this in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

If persons do not provide all or some of the Personal Information that is requested, the Promoter may refuse entry.

The Promoter does not disclose Personal Information to overseas recipients.

If a participant deletes their pub+ account within the dates of the Footy Tipping competition, all account and personal data will be removed from the database and deleted, including the participants footy tipping history. If the participant has entered a paid venue league, they will not receive a refund.

Release: The Promoter and the prize providers shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever suffered or sustained, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, as a result of taking a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under State Regulation.

The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
